Merging data from external REST interfaces into documents

Sometimes you may need collect and merge document data from many different sources. For example you want to fetch graphics, maps, images or text phrases from external interfaces and combine these elements with your layout templates and client data. Traditionally this can only be accomplished with expensive custom programming.

With Aiddocs’ you can do this a lot easier using external REST resources. Aiddocs allows you to combine document parts, text and graphics from three different sources:

1. from client application
2. Aiddocs repository
3. external REST interfaces

This makes it possible to develop flexible and reusable solutions, which utilize data from the original sources.
